Based at Woodlands Nursery in Bedfordshire, UK Worms & Bait Farm breeds dendrobaena earthworms for fishing bait, composting and domestic recyling. At 1000m2, UK Worms & Bait Farm has the largest dedicated indoor breeding area in the UK. Our worms are cared for from hatching to shipping. We keep the worms in darkened containers at the nursery, heated to exactly the right temperature for growth. Because our worms are bred and fattened indoors, they are available all year round. Our worms are fed on a specially formulated layer palette, which is a calcium-rich grain developed for poultry. We store them in a soil created from a mix of peat and paper mulch. Not only is this organic and fully biodegradable, it also produces the best worms.
